Enfolding

Tyvek
Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney
Enfolding is an in-situ installation exploring the architectural possibilities within the amalgam of the painting and sculptural form. Using Tyvek as the basis to construct the painting sculptural objects I am employing a combination of traditional and contemporary folding concepts.
Folding is an experimental activity that maps the transformation of the material surface to create volume and form. Duality lies in the way the folded objects simultaneously declare autonomy and dependence to the freestanding wall.
